GET TO KNOW ME

Welcome! My name is Amy Harris, and I am a Southern California native. I grew up on Anaheim sports, supporting my Angels and Ducks through thick and thin, despite each team only boasting one championship in my lifetime. But my love for sports didn't stop there—I began playing basketball and softball when I was 8 years old and played through high school. I then began attending BYU and discovered the beauty and the chaos that is college athletics.

I spent 2 years working as a Line Producer and Production Assistant at BYUtv during my undergraduate years, where I produced over 70 episodes of BYU Sports Nation, a live, nationally televised, daily sports studio show. I developed a love for live production and found  it to be a place where I could use my skills and my passion to succeed.

I have experience as a line producer, coordinating producer, font assist, asset manager, video editor, feature producer and editor, associate director, and TOC. I also have freelance experience as a stage manager for a CBS broadcast of NCAA Men's Basketball and as a runner for TNT for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.

After graduating from BYU in the summer of 2023, I pursued an opportunity with the United States Peace Corps as a Youth Development Specialist in Zagora, Morocco from September 2023 until May 2025. Despite this being a nontraditional post-graduation move given my career goals, I felt it would be an important and invaluable experience for me before embarking on what I hope to be a long and fulfilling career in sports production. During my time in Morocco, I prioritized learning and personal growth, becoming fluent in Moroccan Arabic and leading a federal grant project focused on drought mitigation with 50 civil engineering students. I also worked with girls of all ages on basketball education, hosting and participating in tournaments and team practices.

As I move forward from BYU and Morocco, I am excited to apply the lessons I have learned thus far to my professional life. I am passionate about what I do and am motivated to work hard to achieve my goals. Sports have added so much value to my life, and I look forward to centering my professional career around something that brings me and so many others so much joy.

Growing up, I always loved sports, and spent most of my time playing basketball and softball, as well as skiing and hiking with my family. I also love to travel and have lived for extended periods of time in both France and Morocco.

Outside of work, I also have several hobbies and interests that I enjoy doing with friends and family.
